Grover M. Hermann Hospital Named One of the Top 20 Critical Access Hospitals in the Country

Top 20 Critical Access Hospital for Quality

Catskill Regional Medical Center’s Grover M. Hermann Hospital in Callicoon, New York was recently named one of the Top 20 Critical Access Hospitals (CAHs) in the country for Quality. Grover M. Hermann Hospital scored best among critical access hospitals on iVantage Health Analytics’ Hospital Strength Index™. The rankings were recently announced by the National Rural Health Association (NRHA).

Each of the hospitals recognized by the NRHA this year have achieved success in the overall performance based on a composite rating from eight indices of strength: inpatient market share, outpatient market share, quality, outcomes, patient perspectives, costs, charges and financial stability. This group was selected from iVantage’s Top 100 CAH list, released earlier this year.

“Catskill Regional Medical Center is proud of the efforts of the physicians, nurses and staff at Grover M. Hermann, all of whom have contributed to the hospital achieving this designation,” said Rolland Bojo, VP Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer Catskill Regional Medical Center; Administrator, Grover M. Hermann Hospital. “Quality healthcare for every patient is our primary goal, and earning this designation reaffirms that our practices back up our commitment to building a healthier community.”

Grover M. Hermann Hospital’s designation is based on a Quality index: A rating of hospital performance based on the percentile rank across the five categories of Hospital Compare Process of Care measures. The hospital will be recognized during an awards ceremony to be held during NRHA’s Critical Access Hospital Conference in September in Kansas City, Mo.
