This support group helps mothers gain support and learn from the knowledge and experience of fellow nursing mothers. Facilitated by a Registered Nurse, breastfeeding peer counselor and an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), the participants will learn new ideas and techniques to try and improve their own breastfeeding success at home. The group meets the first and third Thursday of each month from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Staff Development Classroom located on the third floor of the ASB Building at CRMC in Harris. This support group meets the first Tuesday of the month from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. in the Boardroom at CRMC in Harris and is led by Glorianne Ellison, Certified Oncology Nurse and Elisa Mendels, Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Without discussing individual physicians and practices, this group helps participants find support with one another while also discussing the adjustment to life as a breast cancer survivor. This support group meets the third Tuesday of the month from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. in the Boardroom at CRMC in Harris. Led by Catskill Regional’s infusion center nurses, this group provides support and education for those afflicted with cancer.
