January 1, 2010 - Harris, N.Y. - Catskill Regional Medical Center (CRMC) has delivered its first baby of the New Year. William Alfred Speirs, was born to Gina Varall and Allan Speirs of Wurtsboro at 12:20 p.m., weighing in at 7 pounds and 4.4 ounces. Dr. Ilan Zedek from Crystal Run Healthcare delivered young William. The family of the first baby of the year received a wonderful gift basket which was generously donated by Babies R Us of Middletown, NY, presented to CRMC by Store Assistant Manager, Estevan Otero. The Birthing Center at CRMC is the finest local environment to welcome a new life into the world. The modern, state-of-the-art facility offers the latest equipment, as well as the comforts of home.
