December 4, 2009 - Harris, N.Y. -The Catskill Regional Medical Center (CRMC) Auxiliary presented CEO Steven Ruwoldt and CFO Robert Fisher with a check in the amount of $25,000 on November 25. The funds were raised through the Auxiliary's annual fundraiser Antiques in August. The donation will be used toward the purchase of a new Telemetry system. The system will provide wireless bedside monitoring between a central station and patient, and continuous surveillance for ambulatory cardiac patients. Auxiliary President Ellen Cutler said, "The Antiques in August fundraiser was a great success this year and we are achieving our goal of assisting the hospital's purchase of new equipment for the Telemetry Unit. We are extremely pleased to continue our support of CRMC and assist in the purchase of the latest and best health aids which will help deliver the highest quality medical care to our community." Ruwoldt stated, "This donation toward the purchase of state-of-the-art medical equipment for the hospital supports our mission of improving the health of our community by providing exceptional health care. The Auxiliary's dedication is exceptional and its fundraising efforts to support the hospital are invaluable." The Auxiliary performs several fundraising events throughout the year, including the very popular Antique Show, an honorary journal, and a Home Tour. In total, the Auxiliary has contributed $1.5 million to Catskill Regional Medical Center since its inception.
