CATSKILL REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER EXPANDS PHYSICIAN SERVICES - 11/24/2009

November 24, 2009 - Harris, N.Y. - Catskill Regional Medical Center (CRMC) is expanding its Physician Services with the November 30 opening of the Callicoon Family Health Center in Callicoon, NY. CRMC Chief Executive Officer Steve Ruwoldt stated, "The new Callicoon Family Health Center will address a very important community need in Western Sullivan County and surrounding communities in Pennsylvania. The opening of this office helps us continue to advance patient care for the communities we serve." The Callicoon Family Health Center, conveniently located at CRMC's Grover M. Hermann Hospital Physician Office Suite, 8881 NYS Route 97 in Callicoon, will include Daryl D. McClendon, D.O., a family practitioner. Dr. McClendon has experience in geriatrics, preventive medicine, women's health, child well care and adult medicine and will offer these services at the Callicoon Family Health Center. The Callicoon Family Health Center will offer same day or next day appointments with evening appointments offered two days per week. The office phone number is 845-887-5693. Dr. McClendon graduated from Western University of Health Sciences' College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in Los Angeles County, CA. He completed an internship and Family Practice residency at St. John's Episcopal Hospital, South Shore in Queens County, N.Y. He has particular interest in teaching, community service, medical ethics, jurisprudence, volunteerism and public speaking. McClendon said, "I am looking forward to providing care to the local community and becoming a part of it as well. I am also excited to be joining the outstanding team of physicians at Catskill Regional Medical Center." CRMC Physician Services now has 10 physician offices which provide the highest quality care to the residents of Sullivan County and surrounding communities.
