Pennsylvania native brings wealth of experience to CRMC's Senior Management
April 27, 2009 - Harris, N.Y. - Catskill Regional Medical Center (CRMC), Sullivan County's premier provider of health care services, today announced the appointment of Robert E. Fisher as its Chief Financial Officer.
Catskill Regional Medical Center Chief Executive Officer Steve Ruwoldt stated, "Bob brings a wealth of experience to our senior management team. As strategic issues are addressed at CRMC, his depth of knowledge and health care background will make him an invaluable member of the executive staff."
Prior to joining CRMC, Fisher served as Chief Financial Officer of the Hospital Division at Regent Surgical Health, LLC in Chicago, Ill. His more than 30 years of health care experience includes the position of President and Chief Executive Officer at Brookville Hospital in Brookville, Pa. In that role, Mr. Fisher brought that community hospital back to profitability after multiple years of million dollar losses.
During his career, Mr. Fisher also held the titles of Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Secretary-Treasurer of Bradford Regional Medical Center; Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Berwick Center Hospital and Chief Financial Officer of The Bloomsburg Hospital. All three aforementioned medical institutions are located in his home state of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Fisher earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Wilkes University and a Bachelor's in Business Administration degree from Bloomsburg University. He holds Fellowship status in the American College of Healthcare Executives and the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
Mr. Fisher and his wife, Jill, will be relocating to Rock Hill, N.Y.
