August 22, 2012 – Harris, N.Y. – Catskill Regional Medical Center (CRMC) recently announced the promotion of Jeanet P. Calhoun (Jan) to the position of Clinical Director of the Mental Health (MHU) and Bio-Chemical Dependency (BCD) Units.

Most recently, Calhoun was Interim Clinical Director for MHU/BCD.  She was previously a Clinical Educator in Staff Development and a Nursing Supervisor at CRMC. Calhoun also has strong experience in Emergency Services as a RN and Paramedic.  Her credentials include NYS Certified EMT Paramedic, NYS Certified Instructor Coordinator (CIC), American Heart CPR Provider & Instructor, ACLS Provider & Instructor and PALS Provider and Instructor.  Calhoun graduated Magna Cum Laude from SUNY Delhi with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

The CRMC MHU provides acute, short-term inpatient care to appropriate adolescents and adults. The primary goal of CRMC’s MHU services is to provide a therapeutic and secured environment, which will be conducive to healing and recovery from the acute emotional crisis and dysfunctional behavior. The CRMC BCD Unit offers a safe and effective program to help persons addicted to alcohol or drugs. Continuing treatment, counseling and education support each patient's new start.
