CRMC’s Grover M. Hermann Hospital to Hold Annual Health & Craft Fair on July 10 - 06/28/2010

Mary Cade Memorial Fair will promote healthy living

June 28, 2010 - Harris, N.Y. - Catskill Regional Medical Center (CRMC) and the Grover M. Hermann Hospital Auxiliary are sponsoring the Annual Mary Cade Memorial Health & Craft Fair on Saturday, July 10 from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Grover M. Hermann Hospital, located at 8881 NYS Route 97, Callicoon, N.Y. This fun-filled and free educational event is open to the public and promotes healthy living. The fair will feature health screenings, presentations, crafts, a flea market, refreshments, games, educational displays, live entertainment, a silent auction and complimentary medicine demonstrations. Free health tests will be available, including cholesterol and glucose screenings (which requires 12 hours of fasting) performed by CRMC laboratory personnel from 8:30 - to 10:30 a.m., blood pressure readings by CRMC nurses and free hearing tests performed by Stuart Kabak from Catskill Hearing & Audiological Services. Jeff Pharmacy will check medications for any possible interactions; attendees are encouraged to bring all current medications and any over-the-counter products for assessment. A variety of information/activity booths will be on hand, including SPCA pet adoptions, Sullivan County Sheriff's Department K-9 demonstrations and fingerprinting, water safety tips from the National Park Service and more.
