June 21, 2010 - Harris, N.Y. - The Catskill Regional Medical Center (CRMC) Health Information Library and Adult Day Care program will co-host a free community workshop entitled, "Keeping Fit From the Neck Up". The workshop, presented by the Alzheimer's Association, will be held Wednesday, July 21 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. in the Health Information Library at CRMC's main Harris campus, located at 68 Harris-Bushville Road, Harris, N.Y., on the first floor. Ms. Donna Davis, LCSW, Care Consultant for the Alzheimer's Association, will lead the workshop focusing on retaining brain health through diet, physical exercise and activities that sharpen the mind. It will include a brief overview of Alzheimer's disease, current research findings, popular wisdom and will wrap up with a few "brain games" to stimulate the mind. Light refreshments will be served.
