May 20, 2010 - Harris, N.Y. - The Catskill Regional Medical Center (CRMC) Women's Health Center in Monticello, N.Y., has been awarded a three-year term of accreditation in mammography based on a recent survey by the American College of Radiology (ACR). The ACR awards accreditation to hospitals for achieving high practice standards after a peer-review evaluation. The accreditation requires thorough evaluations by board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field. Additionally, the equipment used must meet strict and rigid guidelines as outlined by the ACR. The CRMC Women's Health Center offers services for women of all ages, including gynecological exams, mammography, ultrasound, bone densitometry and obstetrical care.
