May 13, 2010 - Harris, N.Y. - Catskill Regional Medical Center (CRMC) announced today that its Blood Donor Center has received the Life Share Platinum Level Achievement Award from the American Red Cross for outstanding employee participation in 2009 blood drive donations. The award was formally presented by Shawn James of the American Red Cross at a ceremony on May 12. The ceremony also celebrated the Center's fifth anniversary. CRMC's Blood Donor Center sponsors monthly blood drives at the hospital. Last year, the center registered 331 donors and collected 250 units of blood, which can save up to 750 lives.
