March 10, 2010 - Harris, N.Y. - After several days of heavy snow, WSUL/WVOS raised more than $55,000 for Catskill Regional Medical Center (CRMC) on Saturday, February 27, during the 32nd annual Heart-a-thon, which broadcasted live from the hospital's garden level cafe. All contributions will go to CRMC's Cardio-Pulmonary Department for the purchase of a new Telemetry system, which provides wireless bedside monitoring between a central station and patient, and continuous surveillance for ambulatory cardiac patients. The event also honored David Kaufman for a Lifetime of Achievement and his on-going support of the WSUL/WVOS Heart-a-Thon and the hospital. Volunteers and donors braved heavy snow and a struggling economy to help support this worthy cause. Volunteers work the phone bank during the 32nd Annual WVOS/WSUL Heart-a-thon at CRMC.
