Catskill Regional Medical Center Holds Veterans Day Tribute and Permanent Employee Veterans Display Unveiled
In honor of Veteran’s Day, Catskill Regional Medical Center held a special tribute and unveiled a permanent employee Veterans display, entitled the “Hallway of Heroes,” on the first floor of the hospital.
The display showcases Catskill Regional employees who have served or are currently serving in the armed forces. Photos of veterans and their short biographies are displayed in the “Hallway of Heroes.”
Honoring Catskill Regional Medical Center Veterans
Among those who attended to help honor the history of Veterans Day and the importance of the Armed Forces were veterans Dr. Christopher Roman and Family Nurse Practitioner, Sam Berger, of Catskill Regional Medical Group.
On November 10, Catskill Regional Medical Center held a Veteran’s Day celebration honoring employees, volunteers and patients who served our country in the United States Armed Services. Catskill Regional Medical Group’s Dr. Christopher Roman and Family Nurse Practitioner, Sam Berger, both Veterans, helped dedicate a permanent employee Veterans display, entitled the “Hallway of Heroes,” which is now located on the first floor of the hospital.
“Veteran’s Day is dedicated to thank and honor Veterans who served honorably in the military during wartime and peace,” said Miguel Rodrigues, Director of Security and Emergency Management for the Greater Hudson Valley Health System. “This permanent display is a small sample of the Veterans from our hospital and community who swore an oath and served in defense of our nation.”
Catskill Regional Medical Center CEO, Jonathan Schiller and Greater Hudson Valley Health System Director of Security and Emergency Management, Miguel Rodrigues, presented a special award to Catskill Regional Medical Group Family Nurse Practitioner, Sam Berger, for his service in the United States Army.
