April 18, 2011 – Harris, N.Y. – The Catskill Regional Medical Center (CRMC) Board of Directors has appointed Rosemary Frado as Interim CEO beginning May 2. Ms. Frado brings a wealth of experience and healthcare industry knowledge to this position and is a welcome addition to the CRMC tradition of compassionate care.

Ms. Frado has most recently served as the Vice President of Planning and Marketing for the Greater Hudson Valley Health System and, in this capacity, has worked with the senior management team at CRMC. Since 2001, Ms. Frado has been responsible for strategic and business planning, grants management, regulatory filings and all marketing and public relations initiatives. She has also directed the operational implementation of the Greater Hudson Valley Health System and has played an integral role in operational planning and program development, master site planning, project management and team building initiatives.

Greater Hudson Valley Health System President and CEO Scott Batulis said, “Rosemary is a highly respected healthcare professional who has the skill, drive and expertise to continue the tradition of caring at Catskill Regional Medical Center. Her knowledge and reputation as a thoughtful leader is admired by everyone she works with.”

Ms. Frado said, “I look forward to the opportunity to be a part of Catskill Regional Medical Center. It is so critical that CRMC continues to be a place where our employees and physicians can offer high quality healthcare to the families of Sullivan County. Many of these families are facing extremely difficult healthcare situations and they are highly dependent on us to give them the best care available.”

From 1984 to 2001, Rosemary owned and operated her own management consulting firm, specializing in strategic planning, regulatory consulting and project management. Her past clients include specialty hospitals, community hospitals and academic medical centers. From 1975 to 1984, Ms. Frado worked as a consultant at Booz Allen & Hamilton, where, in 1983, she was made Partner. At Booz Allen, she was responsible for the company’s national practice of hospital systems. She specialized in strategic planning, organizational planning and financial feasibility.

Ms. Frado graduated Cum Laude from Mt. Holyoke College with a Bachelor of Arts and received her Master of Business Administration with concentrations in Finance and Healthcare Administration from the University of Chicago.
