Catskill Regional Medical Center Announces Nursing Leadership Appointments

HARRIS, N.Y. – Catskill Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce the appointments of Jeanette Simko to the role of Director of Nursing and Beth Salzameda as the Registered Nursing Unit Manager in the Skilled Nursing Unit.

 Salzameda, BethBeth Salzameda joined the Catskill Regional Medical Center team in April 2016 and most recently came from Delaware Valley Job Corps Center where she was the Manager of their Wellness Center. Prior to that, Ms. Salzameda was a Home Health Nurse at Wayne Memorial Hospital where she worked for nine years. She previously acted as the Supervisor of the Skilled Nursing Facility at the Ellen Memorial Health Care Center. Ms. Salzameda has 21 years of healthcare experience in hospital medical / surgical, home health, skilled nursing supervision/clinical care and management. She received her Associates Degree in Nursing from Sullivan County Community College in Loch Sheldrake, NY.

Simko, JeanJeanette Simko recently joined Catskill Regional’s Skilled Nursing Unit as the Director of Nursing. Ms. Simko was previously employed at the Golden Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center where she acted as the Assistant Director of Nursing Services, overseeing all aspects of patient care for 280 long-term care residents. Ms. Simko was also director of Nursing Services at The Baptist Home, the Director of Nursing at Woodland Pond at New Paltz, the Director of Nursing at Wingate at Beacon as well as the Director of Nursing at Ferncliff Nursing Home. Her career spans over 37 years and, in her new role at Catskill Regional, she will have responsibility over all aspects of patient care in the Skilled Nursing Unit. Ms. Simko received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from The King’s College in Briarcliff Manor, NY and her Master of Science Degree in Healthcare Administration from the New School for Social Research in New York, NY. She also holds an Associate Degree in Nursing from Dutchess Community College
