GROVER M. HERMANN HOSPITAL AUXILIARY TO HOLD ANNUAL HEALTH & CRAFT FAIR MAY 17

Callicoon, N.Y. – The Grover M. Hermann Hospital Auxiliary and Catskill Regional Medical Center are sponsoring the Annual Health & Craft Fair at the Grover M. Hermann Hospital on Rt. 97 in Callicoon, N.Y. on Saturday, May 17, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The fair will feature free health screenings, health information booths and presentations, craft fair, a flea market, vendors, raffles, a 50/50 drawing, a bake sale, refreshments and live entertainment. The event will be held rain or shine.
Free health screenings will include blood pressure screenings, free cholesterol and glucose screenings (which require a 12 hour fast) performed by Catskill Regional Medical Center laboratory personnel, blood pressure readings performed by Catskill Regional Medical Center nurses and free hearing tests performed by Stuart Kabak from Catskill Hearing Aid & Audiological Services.
Blood pressure screenings will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., cholesterol and glucose screenings from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and hearing tests will begin at 9:00 a.m. Children can have their teddy bears examined at the Teddy Bear Clinic and face painting will also be available for children beginning at noon. Live entertainment will include an Armed Forces Dedication beginning at 11:00 a.m., the Kurpil Family Fiddlers from 11:00 a.m. to noon and the Back Porch Gang Country from noon to 1:00 p.m.
This year’s fair will include a Chicken Barbeque from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for only $10, which includes a half chicken, roll, baked beans, coleslaw and a cookie. Pre-order tickets for the BBQ from any Auxiliary member by calling 845-932-8487.
