GREATER HUDSON VALLEY HEALTH SYSTEM APPOINTS DIRECTOR OF PATIENT ACCESS MANAGEMENT – 12/23/14
(Middletown, NY) – The Greater Hudson Valley Health System (GHVHS) is pleased to announce the appointment of Marisol Ortiz as Director of Patient Access Management.
Ms. Ortiz joined Orange Regional Medical Center in 1990 as Patient Access Liaison/Registrar and has held a variety of roles over the past 24 years, with progressive responsibility within Patient Access Management (PAM). Ms. Ortiz has gained extensive knowledge with PAM operations, became certified in both 2010 and 2012 as an expert in EPIC applications (Electronic Health Records) and achieved certification as a Healthcare Access Manager through National Association of Healthcare Access Management. In January, Ms. Ortiz joined the Revenue Cycle Point of Service (POS) Collections initiative team and has been integral in driving change. In May 2014, Ms. Ortiz took on the role of leading PAM at Catskill Regional, working closely with the team to manage operations and maintain POS momentum.
In her expanded role, Ms. Ortiz will continue to leverage her extensive knowledge of EPIC, PAM operations and revenue cycle management, to better align our current processes to reflect national best practice. She will also work more closely with operational leaders to assure that PAM effectively supports the patient and provider experience, from scheduling to discharge.
