Catskill Regional Medical Center Chief Executive Officer and Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Gerard Galarneau, Presented with Distinguished Achievement Award
May 31, 2016, Harris, NY – Catskill Regional Medical Center’s Chief Executive Officer and Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Gerard Galarneau, was presented with the Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce Distinguished Achievement Award. Dr. Galarneau along with recipients including Les Kristt of Kristt Kelly Office Systems, Franklin Trapp of the Forestburgh Playhouse, Jeff Siegel of the Spencer Daniel’s Agency, and Evan & Brynn Allees of the Pickled Owl Gastro Pub, were honored at the annual Chamber Pride Awards at The Villa Roma Resort in Callicoon.
“Dr. Galarneau has been chosen as the winner of this year’s Distinguished Achievement for his steadfast work to elevate Catskill Regional Medical Center’s services as well as his extraordinary service and dedication to our community,” said President of the Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce, Cathy Paty.
The Annual Distinguished Achievement Award is one of four countywide awards given by the chamber. The honorees are nominated by members of Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce and selected by a committee of past businesspersons and Chamber Board of Directors.
“While I am extremely honored to be this year’s recipient of the Distinguished Achievement Award, I am so thankful for my incredible team members and staff, for without their hard work and support, this award wouldn’t have been possible,” states Dr. Galarneau.
Dr. Galarneau, who has been CEO and Chief Medical Officer at Catskill Regional Medical Center for the past 3 years, is Board-certified in Urology, has served in leadership positions at Orange Regional Medical Center since 2002 and was the Vice-Chair of the Department of Urology from 2002 through 2004, and the Chairman from 2005 through 2006. Dr. Galarneau was the Chairman of Staff from 2007 through 2008, has held the position of Chief of Staff since January 2009 and is an active member of the American Urological Association and the Medical Society of Orange and Sullivan County.
