CRMC’S GROVER M. HERMANN HOSPITAL TO CONTINUE COMMUNITY HEALTH LECTURE SERIES – 06/07/2010 COMPLIMENTARY AND ALTERNATIVE MEDICINE TO BE DISCUSSED ON JUNE 15
June 7, 2010 – Harris, N.Y. – Catskill Regional Medical Center (CRMC) announced today it will continue its free monthly community health lecture series on Tuesday, June 15 at the Grover M. Hermann Hospital Cafeteria in Callicoon, N.Y. The series covers common health topics and is scheduled at 1 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month. On June 15, Dr. Paul Salzberg will provide an overview of complimentary and alternative medicine options and will focus on non-traditional treatments such as acupuncture, chiropractic medicine and herbal medicine. Dr. Paul Salzberg has been a family practice physician for more than 25 years in western Sullivan County, and has been instrumental in managing patient care at Grover M. Herman Hospital. He is board certified in both Family Practice and Geriatric Medicine and is currently president of the Sullivan County Medical Society. The lecture series is funded through a grant from the Federal Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources Services Administration (HRSA) that supports community outreach programs about chronic diseases. CRMC developed the free monthly series to increase the community’s awareness of chronic diseases and the health care services and support programs that are locally available.
