CRMC’S GROVER M. HERMANN HOSPITAL TO CONTINUE COMMUNITY HEALTH LECTURE SERIES – 05/07/2010 DIABETES TO BE DISCUSSED ON MAY 18
May 7, 2010 – Harris, N.Y. – Catskill Regional Medical Center (CRMC) announced today it will continue its free monthly community health lecture series on Tuesday, May 18 at the Grover M. Hermann Hospital Cafeteria in Callicoon, N.Y. The series covers common health issues and is scheduled at 1 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month. On May 18, CRMC’s Dr. Kolo Ediale will provide an overview of diabetes and will discuss its causes, effects, complications and treatments. Dr. Ediale has been with CRMC since 2006 and is board certified in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism. He has given many presentations and lectures on diabetes. The lecture series is funded through a grant from the Federal Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources Services Administration (HRSA) that supports community outreach programs about chronic diseases. CRMC developed the free monthly series to increase the community’s awareness of chronic diseases and the health care services and support programs that are locally available.
