CRMC OUTPATIENT REHABILITATION CONTINUES COMMUNITY EDUCATION SERIES – 08/29/2011
Aug 29, 2011 – Harris, N.Y. – The Catskill Regional Medical Center (CRMC) Outpatient Rehabilitation Services Department will continue its community education series with a workshop for managing arthritis pain and fatigue on Sept. 22 from 1 to 3 p.m. in Boardrooms A and B at the main Harris campus.
Amy Lorino, MS, OT, and Susanne Spring, BFA, will host a workshop titled, “Living with Arthritis: A Practical Hands-On Workshop for Managing Pain and Fatigue.” The presentation will provide an overview of the causes of pain and fatigue with arthritic conditions, non-pharmaceutical interventions for managing pain and fatigue, an overview of movement and stretching for arthritic conditions, and movement, breathing and stretching practice. Participants should wear comfortable clothing; mats will be supplied, and movements will be adapted to specific needs. The workshop will be followed by a question and answer session, and a reading/resource list will be provided.
