CRMC ANNOUNCES NEW DIAGNOSTIC TECHNOLOGY AT GROVER M. HERMANN HOSPITAL – 12/21/2011
December 21, 2011 – Harris, N.Y. – Catskill Regional Medical Center (CRMC) is pleased to announce the installation of a computed tomography (CT) system at Grover M. Hermann Hospital in Callicoon, N.Y. The LightSpeed® 16-slice CT system from GE Healthcare gives western Sullivan County and its surrounding communities access to nearby CT imaging services. Appointments are being scheduled now, and the CT scanner will be operational on January 3, 2012.
The 16-slice CT system delivers high quality images of the brain, heart, musculoskeletal system, spine and vascular system, and non-invasively assists physicians in the diagnosis of a variety of anatomical areas. CT exams are used when people are ill or injured, or when a physician suspects a medical problem that is not easily detected from a conventional physical examination.
“The 16-slice CT system is a great addition to Grover M. Hermann Hospital’s diagnostic services, and it provides western Sullivan County and the neighboring towns in Delaware County and Pennsylvania imaging services close to home,” said Rolland “Boomer” Bojo, CRMC’s Grover M. Hermann Administrator.
