Catskill Regional Medical Center Hosts Annual ‘Celebration of Life’ Oncology Social
May 25, 2016 – Harris, N.Y. –Catskill Regional Medical Center’s Cancer Care Center will host its annual ‘Celebration of Life’ Oncology Social on Thursday, June 9, 2016 in honor of National Cancer Survivors Day. This free event is open to Catskill Regional patients who have been diagnosed with cancer, are in treatment for cancer or have completed cancer therapy. Family members and caregivers are also welcome. The event will take place in the 2nd floor Boardroom of Catskill Regional’s Ambulatory Services Building from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. Catskill Regional welcomes its patients and their families to stop by for refreshments, raffles, door prizes, guest speakers, entertainment and more. Music will be provided by local musician Mickey Barnett.
“Our oncology social is truly a special celebration each year,” says Mary O’Shea-Siegel, RN, OCN. “It is a day to celebrate the survivors of our community as well as their relatives, friends, caregivers and medical professionals and commemorate the lives of those who lost their battle with cancer.”
