CATSKILL REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER DONATES FIRST AID KITS TO SULLIVAN WEST SENIORS – 06/27/2012
June 27, 2012 – Harris, N.Y. – Catskill Regional Medical Center (CRMC) donated first aid kits to Sullivan West High School students who recently completed a first aid class at the school.
On June 20, J.P. McGuirk, CRMC’s Director of Marketing and Public Relations, went to Sullivan West High School and presented CRMC first aid kits to 22 high school seniors who completed a first aid course (taught by Mike Ellmauer and Gail Cicchetti) and were interested in health care.
“Sullivan West approached us about donating funds to purchase the first aid kits for the students as a sign of appreciation,” said McGuirk. “We thought it was a great idea, and a unique way to recognize the students’ interest in the health care field. Health care is an exciting career path with many choices. In this group of 22 students, we may have future doctors, nurses, therapists or administrators.”
“We want to thank CRMC for their generosity and for taking the time to present the first aid kits,” said Brenda Manzi, who requested the donation from CRMC. “It was exciting for our students, and they really appreciated the gesture.”
