2ND ANNUAL WALK A MILE IN HER SHOES’ RAISES MORE THAN $15,500 FOR CRMC’S RISE OF SULLIVAN COUNTY

Oct. 3, 2011 – Harris, N.Y. – On Sept. 27, the Catskill Regional Medical Center (CRMC) Foundation received a check for $1,000 from the Tri-Valley Lions Club.
The donation, provided in response to the CRMC Foundation’s annual fundraising campaign, will go toward the purchase of new cardiac ultrasound units for the hospital. Liza and Carmen Salvemini, the Tri-Valley Lions Club Secretary and President, respectively, presented the check to Joan Farrow, CRMC Foundation Board President.
Cardiac ultrasound, also known as an echocardiogram, uses non-invasive techniques to obtain images of the heart and identify cardiovascular disease. Cardiac ultrasound is one of the most widely used diagnostic tests for heart disease.
The CRMC Foundation is a voluntary, not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to render assistance to and raise funds for CRMC. To donate to the CRMC Foundation or for additional information, call 845-794-3300 ext. 2173.
