Earns 2016 National Research Corporation (NRC) Excellence Award for its Commitment to Improving the Patient Experience
Catskill Regional Medical Center has been selected as a recipient of the 2016 National Research Corporation (NRC) Excellence Award. As a 2016 award recipient, Catskill Regional is among a select group of national healthcare innovators leading the way on the path to patient-centered care.
NRC chose Excellence Award recipients based on their achievement within categories that patients have identified as being most important to the quality of their care. The winners were selected from the extensive database of NRC hospital clients for their performance over the last four quarters. Catskill Regional Medical Center was selected for its first-place ranking in the Most Improved Facilities category of medium-sized hospitals, nationwide.
Committed to Providing the Best Possible Healthcare for our Community
“At Catskill Regional, we are committed to providing the best possible healthcare for our community,” said Dr. Gerard Galarneau, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Medical Officer of Catskill Regional Medical Center. “This commitment includes a responsibility to continuously advance our facility. Being recognized as an Excellence award recipient can be attributed to the enhanced environment at Catskill Regional Medical Center and the continued efforts of our dedicated staff to ensure that each of our patients has an exceptional experience.”
“Implementing improvement processes are difficult and require large amounts of time and resources, so when organizations make the commitment to look past those constraints, it really defines who the winners are,” said Helen Hrdy, Senior Vice President of Client Service at NRC. “We congratulate Catskill Regional Medical Center for truly defining patient-centered care.”
