Cancer Support Group for Youth

The Catskill Regional Medical Center cancer support group created specifically for adolescents and young adults who now have, or who have had, cancer will meet at various locations throughout the county, other than healthcare settings, to allow participants with similar stories and concerns to talk to each other. Meetings will be held from 6:00 p.m.- 7:00 p.m.

The support group welcomes young people between the ages of 13 and 21 years old who have ever had a diagnosis of cancer to come and “hang out.” The meetings offer them a chance to share whatever’s on their mind with others who share like experiences. Cardiac Support Plus Lunch

Catskill Regional Medical Center is sponsoring Cardiac Support plus Lunch featuring Dr. Joseph Lauterstein MD, former CRMC Chief Cardiologist. C.A.T.S. (Catskill Adolescent Teen Services) Program

The C.A.T.S. Program provides comprehensive and confidential health care services to HIV at-risk adolescents and young adults in Sullivan County aged 13 to 21 regardless of their insurance coverage or ability to pay. 

Physical exams, pregnancy testing, HIV testing and care, STD (sexually transmitted disease) testing and treatment, counseling, gynecological care and contraception care are among the services offered by C.A.T.S. Program providers.

The program also provides community-centered outreach programs three evenings a week to deal with health and social issues important to adolescents in Sullivan County.

The C.A.T.S. Program, on the 3rd floor of the Ambulatory Services Building at CRMC in Harris, is also on the road aboard the CRMC HealthMobile in convenient locations throughout Sullivan County.
