About the Specialty Care Center's HIV Program

Sullivan County leads the State with the highest incidence of AIDS per 100,000 of any county outside New York City. As a result, the leadership of the Specialty Care Center has successfully won federal grant funding to provide a range of services that surpasses any comparable center in a rural setting such as ours. In fact, the multi-disciplinary services offered at the CRMC Specialty Care Center rival those of larger metropolitan HIV centers. Dr. Merino and Ms. Jorge are bi-lingual /bi-cultural and speak Spanish. Mr. Desmond speaks English, Spanish and Creole.
