FREE Health & Education Fair

Hosted by Catskill Regional Medical Center’s Breast & Prostate Cancer Education Program. The Breast & Prostate Cancer Education Program is focused on raising awareness about:

  • Breast cancer risk, ways to reduce risk and the importance of regular mammograms.
  • Prostate cancer risk, ways to reduce risk and the pros and cons of screening.
  • Health and community services that can help with costs of care, transportation and language barriers.

Please join us! Along with other organizations in our community to learn more about wellness and health related services.

Presented by Patricia Morris, owner and operator of Fantasy Hair in Wurtsboro, and sponsored by the National Cosmetology Association and the Personal Care Products Council, the program helps cancer patients’ transition their appearance while in cancer treatment by learning skin-care tips, make-up application techniques and wig and turban styling. By the end of the session, patients should have an improved self-image, tips on how to manage their appearance and a sense of support, confidence, courage and community.

Join us for a free childbirth class to help you become better prepared for your hospital experience.

The class will include:

• A review of labor and birth, including all hospital procedures
• Tips for comfortable labor, including use of yoga positions and other relaxation measures
• Information regarding newborn feeding and care
• A complementary tour of the Catskill Regional Medical Center birthing unit


Partners are encouraged to attend. Expectant mothers and their partners should wear comfortable clothing and bring a mat or towel.
