Our hospital has a strong tradition of caring for the community. Now you have an opportunity to help shape the future by being a part of Catskill Regional Medical Center’s capital campaign called Honoring Our Past, Forging Our Future.
Catskill Regional Medical Center is embarking on an exciting transformation that will update and refresh the look of Sullivan County’s sole community hospital. Essentially, we are renovating and updating the entire physical environment at the hospital, which has become worn and outdated over the years.
The renovations span from general cosmetic enhancements (such as new paint, updated floor coverings, ceilings and lighting) to heavy restoration and structural improvements. With the exception of areas that were recently remodeled, such as the Behavioral Health Unit, Obstetric Unit and Emergency Department, we have an urgent need to provide an environment for our patients and their families that is best suited to their health and wellness.
Currently, 51% of the rooms at the hospital are private, and 49% of the rooms accommodate up to three patients per room. We plan on making 82% of the rooms private and 18% of them two-bed rooms.
We also plan to build entrances that are more welcoming, renovate the parking areas and create a state-of-the-art healing environment. Along with the renovations, new furniture, equipment and healing artwork, Catskill Regional Medical Center will soon be a hospital that is a source of pride for employees, physicians and the community.
Thank you in advance for helping us continue our legacy of caring.
